Absolutely amazing experience from this pub. Would definitely go back. Hidden away is this special gem of a place in Newcastle. The staff are so amazing and friendly, happy to help in any way they can, giving up suggestions and options. The food was delicious and delivered in a quick manner. Their service, the atmosphere and the friendliness are what you hope in a pub but sometimes never truly get. We got that and more. Fantastic experience!!

Really neat pub, tucked away down an alley. It appears to be really old, so it had that quaint, comfy atmosphere - as if you were in a nice pub in the Shire. There's an outdoor seating area, also hidden down the alley, so more great atmosphere. It wasn't very busy on the weeknight I was there, so the barman was able to take a minute to explain the beer selection to me. Thanks gang!

Lovely little bar situated in the big market. In between bee hive and pumphreys. Short walk from monument metro station and right beside good local bus service. Place is lovely and clean and so are the toilets. Unfortunately it doesn't cater for wheelchair users. It was built in 1582 so is 440 years old. It is a must see for yourself pub, 9n evening it opens up a room upstairs for cocktails but havnt experienced this myself yet. Plenty of other pubs surround this little pub and plenty of restaurants but firstly pop in here the drink is great and at fair price considering it's in Newcastle. The pub does serve food but I didn't have any on this visit but it just means I have to visit again, soon. It has a great outside beer garden, great on a sunny day. I have recommended to family and friends and will definitely be back soon ????X

The Old George Inn is a place I didn't know existed. Came with a friend who showed me where it was. 2 bars on split level with one upstairs. It has a warm cosy old world atmosphere complementing the fact that it has been there since 1582 Has live sports, pub grub, keg beers, larger, soft drinks. Did not have any food but looking at the menu and the food people around us were eating it seems good value for money.Barman was friendly and made us feel.welcome. Definitely recommend and will be back to try the food. Back today to sample the food. Scampi , fries, peas my friend had peri peri chicken with salad and a diet coke. Cost came to just over £20 considering the situation at the moment excellent value
