Amazing pub! My wife and I were visiting New Castle. We stumbled apon this pub. The bar tenders were an amazing and friendly bunch. I didn't know what beer to choose. The suggestion for Beak Brewery Imperial Stout was a wonderful suggestion! Also was able to sample a few beers they had on tap. I loved the Flint Eye. The pub grub went beyond our expectations! The Fish and Chips took a bit of time but, Boy... It was worth the wait! The crispy fish and chips with a side of peas was delectable! Especially with the vinegar, and it paired nicely with the beer. No regrets were had here! My wife and I absolutely enjoyed the time we spent here at the Crows Nest. Next time we visit, we will be looking forward to coming back to their establishment! I highly recommend them!

Came in today as a off chance for lunch as the other Green king opposite was over a hour wait for food, not used here before and now glad I have as found a hidden gem! Really nice old style aesthetics, calm customer base, food was of any top quality restaurant I had the steak and ale pie and the gravy that came with was superb in taste and richness. Call out to the kitchen here very good! David was our host as such welcoming from the entrance though the food service and the leaving. We had our dog so dog friendly and again David did what he could for any dog, water , attention and made to feel comfortable. Recommended visited on a Wednesday lunch time 1-4 Lady host was also helpful

Arguably the busiest I've seen this place due to the cup final but excellently handled by the manager and staff. Lovely food and a fine cider selection to boot - Highly recommend the Happy Daze. We'll be back!

Despite having asked the bar staff for their range of Gluten-Free beers I was given the sole option of Peroni. This was despite the bar being a Greene King chain and having both GF IPA and Old Speckled in bottles. After asking the barman to check his GF stock I was told that Peroni is the only one that he remembers. Not good
